Who?  Adults with an identified disability, illness, injury or challenge who want to return to work or start a new job. 

What?  An occupational therapist can choose and facilitate worksite appropriate activities or tasks as the primary tool in assessing and improving a worker's physical and cognitive abilities on the job. Occupational therapists can also structure appropriate, productive, gradual return to work programs for returning to work or starting full work duty.  

When?  Daytime appointments are available Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend appointments are available upon request. 

Where?  Our multi-disciplinary clinic is at 156 Westmorland Road, Suite 302, Saint John, New Brunswick. The building is wheelchair accessible. We provide off-site services Saint John-St. Stephen-Fredericton-Moncton and beyond upon request. Per kilometre rate and travel time fees apply.   

Why? Occupational therapists assess and intervene with the person, their environment and their occupation to enable occupational performance.Occupational therapists have a unique combination of skills and abilities to assess the physiological, psychophysical, biomechanical, and psychosocial function of a worker engaged in work.Occupational therapists have the observational skills, training, and expertise to perform complex activity and task analysis of workplace occupations.Occupational therapists are able to assess the environmental factors affecting work performance and make appropriate recommendations to mitigate or eliminate challenges in the workplace.
